I haven’t written “My Faves of the Week” series for a long time. Here is the return of the series with six, interesting Web 2.0 tools:

blogCarryOutText is a text-to-speech service that converts your English text to a mp3 file that you can use on your computer or your mp3 player. You can easily convert your favourite blogs posts, articles or any text to speech. You can import text from a RSS feed, copy&paste your text or simply upload a file from your computer. It can convert Word, Excel,Doc, XML,powerpoint or PDF files to speech.


edistorm-comEdiStorm is an interactive wall where you can brainstorm using sticky notes collaboratively. You can move your notes and you can play with colors. You can create solo or collaborative brainstorms. EdiStorm has IdeaBots that includes thesaurus, rhyming, related words and a social media bot.

cb_logo_mCiteBite is a tool where you can get a link directly to specific quotes in web pages.You simply paste a chunk of text and the URL of the page and get a link that opens directly to your selection by highlighting it.

readspeaker_logoReadSpeaker is site that gives your website or your blog a voice. There are nine languages and 18 voices to choose from. By using this service, you can attract your visitors, make it easy to read your content and enable your readers to do something else while they listen to your blog.

utweetUTweet is a site that visualize your tweets and turn it into a show using a funny music at the background and using several animations while your stream is running. You can make a video of your own tweets by entering your Twitter user name or you can use keywords you like. Here is mine.

drawDraw.to is a site where you can create and share simple drawings on Facebook, Twitter, email or more. It also works on iphone, ipad etc. and you can also embed your drawings to your blog or website. It also allows you to collaborate with others while drawing your picture.
